HOT SPRINGS, AR – (July 18, 2025) – U.S. Vanadium, the Arkansas-based producer of some of the world’s highest-purity vanadium pentoxide (V205) and vanadium trioxide (V203), announced today that it has appointed John Hadfield as a Director and that Terry Perles has resigned as a Director. =

John Hadfield
Mr. Hadfield is the CFO of TechMet Limited (86% owner of US Vanadium), a private, critical minerals investment company that is partially owned by the U.S. Government and committed to building Western-aligned projects that produce, process, and recycle the materials that are essential to American economic and national security. John has over 20 years of financial leadership in the resources sector. He was formally CFO of KAZ Minerals PLC, a FTSE 250 high growth copper company and had an extensive career with BG Group PLC, a FTSE 100 integrated gas major, where he led finance teams in the UK, Egypt and Australia.

In addition to Mr. Hadfield, the following are members of US Vanadium’s Board of Directors:
- Mark Smith (Chairman) — The former President and CEO of vanadium-producer Largo Resources Ltd., Mr. Smith has more than 40 years of experience in the mining and mineral processing industries.
- Darryll Castle (Chief Executive Officer) – Mr. Castle is the former CEO of a number of mining and production companies including CEO of Trafigura mining, CEO PPC Cement, CEO of Anvil Mining; Chief Operations Officer at Metorex Group Limited, as well as service on multiple boards of listed and private companies.
- Daniel Katz – Katz is Senior Vice President, Noble Alloys and Rare Earths, at Traxys North America LLC. He has over 30 years’ experience in the metals business, starting in 1991 when he joined the traffic department of Considar Inc., which became Traxys in 2003 after its merger with Sogem.
- Anthony Weiss — Weiss is Executive of Director TechMet USA and has over 30 years of experience in the mining, trading, and chemical sectors as an owner and management executive.
